BOOROWA IRISH WOOLFEST - SUNDAY 5 OCTOBER 2014

Mayor Welcome

On behalf of the Boorowa Council and the Boorowa Irish Woolfest Committee I would like to welcome all visitors to our flagship event over the October long weekend.

The Irish Woolfest has been a highlight in the Boorowa Calender for the last 16 years and continues to grow and receive accolades for being a wonderful,  family focused event that is  well organised and provides free entertainment for all visitors with nonstop activities.

This year we again have an exceptional line up of talent and in particular we welcome Saoirse, a Melbourne based Celtic group who will perform heartfelt ballads, lively jigs, reels and polka’s original songs and even a traditional step dance or two!

Our program highlights some new attractions and events throughout the long weekend that will bring enjoyment for all.

Welcome to Boorowa

Situated on the Boorowa River, nestled among the river flats, Boorowa is rich in volcanic soils and surrounded by undulating hills.

Its historic buildings, poplar-lined roads, parklands, bridges and river harmoniously combine nature with the built environment.
