Boorowa Council Wants to Hear Community Views on Public Facilities

At the September ordinary meeting of Boorowa Council, Councillors endorsed placing a draft Showground Masterplan on public exhibition which it hopes will guide future expenditure at the Showground.

Councillors also supported holding a community forum to discuss not only the draft Masterplan but also plans for the Hilltops Region Business and Community Precinct which Council has recently submitted a grant application for.

According to Boorowa Mayor Wendy Tuckerman Council is keen to hear the community’s views first hand on both projects.

“Council believes both the precinct project and the showground Masterplan have the potential to significantly improve the quality of life in our community. We want to be able to share with the community the work that has been done to date, get constructive feedback and work with the community to identify the next steps with both projects” she said.

A one off community forum is planned to be held at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club at 6pm on Thursday 15 October 2015 with the whole community welcome to attend.

“For anyone unable to attend I encourage you to contact Council to get further information or make a written submission to either of the projects” said Mayor Tuckerman.
