Closure of Access to Wyangala Dam Wall

Works have recently been undertaken by Water NSW to improve the safety of the Wyangala Dam Wall with works including construction of a new road and bridge downstream of the existing dam wall.

As a result of the works which have now been completed access to the dam wall to the public will no longer be maintained.

Boorowa Council will be undertaking the works to prevent access prior to Christmas. “We will be placing a gate either side of the dam wall with the gate to be located at the viewing area on the southern side of the wall” said Councils General Manager Anthony McMahon.

Entrance to Wyangala township from Darby’s Falls Road will now be via the new road and bridge access only.
